Brian Manning is a digital entrepreneur and deep tech investor. Through his advisory Stratum Six, he helps startups leverage artificial intelligence, cloud platforms and fintech to scale operations, streamline costs, and build brand value. Recent clients have included crypto asset managers, data center power, and health tech. Brian has appeared on Fox Business, Fox News, Yahoo! Finance, Bloomberg and his book on digital transformation was published by Pearson.
Brian previously co-founded Centric Digital to transform traditional enterprises into digital-first businesses. By its 5th year, Centric Digital exceeded $40M+ annual revenue, 300+ consultants and rank #1 New York City and #34 USA on the Inc 500 fastest growing companies list. As President, Brian defined Centric Digital’s methodology to quantify digital IQ and visualize competitive intelligence data, implemented 100% cloud based operations, and led marketing resulting in recognition as a leading independent digital transformation and data solutions provider. He sold S&P 500 brands and drove measurable improvements in cost efficiency, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores through hands-on leadership of their digital transformations initiatives.
Prior to Centric Digital, Brian served as Vice President of e-commerce at Scholastic where he launched their digital content subscription and helped grow and spin off marketplace TeachersPayTeachers.com. Before Scholastic, Brian led fintech, digital strategy, and marketing initiatives for Citigroup, including integration of Citi’s online banking businesses. Preceding Citi, Brian launched digital products at Barnes & Noble, including its omnichannel gift card, mobile app, music website, on demand prints, e-commerce / fulfillment platforms and customer acquisition programs.
Brian started in management consulting at Accenture and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College. He was selected by KPMG to participate in QuantumShift, a leadership program for top 40 entrepreneurs at the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan.
